  • You are still talking shit about TESLA WALLS there are so many more battery options out there that cost way less and do more.
Yeah go buy another $90K truck to get an "affordable" battery…WTF !!

  • Gas prices are Biden’s fault. We were more energy independent with trump. The green new deal is garbage even though there’s obvious benefits to solar.

  • Why did you not use ecoflow for your main house? If you were to do it again, would you use ecoflow, with the batteries like you did on the RV video? Sorry, only just started watching some of your videos so I have not seen all.

  • danggggggg, ok didnt realize how much money you save overall from solar energy. it has always been presented as like…just enough to maybe…maybe charge your laptop, not generate enough electricity to not only power your house but also have excess your neighbors can use. that's insane!!!

  • what is the efficiency rate? i remember you saying 80% but i cant find that.

  • a couple questions. what are the dimensions of each panel and what is the entire dimensions of the system you have?

  • This is awesome!
How did you go about researching your city laws and permits? I am not having luck finding any information on regulations and requirements for my city in Connecticut.

  • Kapan ya..
    Ada product genteng solar panel..
Biar Gak double gitu atap rumah..

    😅😅😅

  • I notice that you have the EcoFlow Delta Flow Pro Battery backup for your garage. Could you use the EcoFlow for your house instead of the Tesla batteries? I have an EcoFlow Delta Pro as well and would like to tie it in to my house with a purchased solar array. Thank you for your help.

  • Looks like he switched from Ecoflow to Anker sponsorship. I wonder what happened lol

  • I dont why anyone would put panels on their house if they have a metal building to put them on and if that metal building is tied to the same meter!

  • British people can only imagine

  • Aktually….. Your TV, Fones, Komputers, Lights, Modem, Router all Run Off DC Power, Even your Tesla, Ford, & Rivian Run Off DC….. So konverting your power from Solar DC to AC then back to DC I think is BS.

  • I love how you were able to do this job yourself and still take advantage of a significant tax credit. In Belgium they always tend to couple subsidies and tax credits to having things done by registered installers. Which is a shame because a) there are simply not enough tradesmen around causing long waiting times (right now its almost impossible to still get panels in time for the 2022 grant) and high prices b) tradesmen tend to stick with specific brands, limiting your choice of pv/inverter/battery systems c) there is always a minimal cost/startup cost when you let someone install something for you, it is financially less attractive to start small and gradually expand a system. I hope there will be more support for DIY'ers here in the future, because with our ageing population and too limited number of people who went into technical/construction related professions I feel like DIY is very necessary. In any case, thanks for the very clear and interesting report on your solar installation/returns. 🙂

  • Oh and I should also say I bought another system yet besides which is a generator system all electric with solar panels that are multiplies as my system as well so whatever that 13.2 KW is takes three more of them to make my solar system for the house solar system for the electric company and solar system for my electric generators which would be a backup power for my house and another generator besides for other things which is about the same as the generators they got the power of my house and which is also portable of course I think all my generators are portable maybe not all the batteries but that'd been another story maybe I should buy a camper or a boat for the generator I don't know yet of course you got to have the money for it all I've been using for my money that I've been saving from the solar panels that knocked down my bills from not selling to like a company but from what I'm using May the power me to save the power of money to put on all these others.

  • And themselves off is not just for electric company to pay you to pay off the bill that you made from making selling electricity it's also the electricity you using you got to subtract as well so if you had $145 a month electric bill and you've knocked that down to 75 bucks well how much money is that saved plus the electric company is also paying you for the electricity which also makes it more money even yet besides so you priority paid off 2/3 of your panels in that sense. Trust me I have solar panels and yes I have the grid and my solar panels are not connected to the grid not yet anyways but it does run some of my electricity and it knocked my $145 electric bill down to $35 a month and yet I'm not selling electricity too The electric company which makes me make a hundred bucks savings a month well I text you $105 a month which paid for my solar system when I first got it within 1 years 10 why expanded since then but from all the savings from the last 20 years okay 28 years all the solar panels I'm buying came from the savings of the first few solar panels I had meaning in a sense I'm not paying anything for the new solar panels already. But that is not money that electric company gave to me for having electricity cuz electric company hasn't been buying my electricity I haven't had enough to sell to him but I will shortly something like 8 kilowatts or more like 13.2 KW I have a little bit more solar panels coming just for electric use I'm using meaning it's electric company I'll be buying that 13.2 KW from me indefinitely even as a Time degrades the solar panels which I will never let him do that cuz I would connect I'll check to work connections I will check the solar panels cleaning I'll make sure the glasses clean make sure it's all good conditions make sure it's still giving all the same my first set still gives me the same watch like today I bought them 28 years ago and it still give me the same wattage it's because I baby my solar panels make sure they're in perfect condition always and I do the same thing with my batteries and that's kind of why I have some 45-year-old batteries and also why I have some newer batteries cuz my solar panels always ask for new batteries because I never seen the having a batteries for my solar panels to charge all day before they can no longer charge because I didn't have enough batteries to charge. So if I get a 13.2 KW solar system I'm going to need 13.2 KW battery system multiples of times like seven if not nine times the power outage of the solar panels. But since that one's going to the electric company I wouldn't need the batteries for that I'll just send the batteries for the other one I have and the other ones I'm getting to run my house indefinitely which is about the same.

  • Wow, all those roof penetrations. Why not locate the panels somewhere in that huge property so they could be easily kept clean, and the roof would not risk leaking. For $100 a month? You need a better job.

My $1500 5KW gasoline backup powergen skid handles 2 or 3 days of essential 220 VAC power with no temperature dependence. Basement wood stove keeps whole house toasty off grid (and renewable).

    Rube Goldberg comes to mind.

  • I would have thought agent 47 had more money than this by now.

  • It still baffles me that someone like this on video can be such a raging leftist on Twitter

  • Off-grid systems to me seem a bit more straight-forward to setup than grid-tied systems. Having to worry about a system that connects to the electrical grid such that you do not send power into it at times or in ways it cannot accept (e.g. correct voltages, current, phase, etc.) which then introduces fire risk, etc. Way too daunting for me to tackle myself. I can do basic electrical work and have actually wired sub-panels for home additions and wired entire rooms with multi-gang switchboxes, etc., but now that I have a grid-tied solar system with battery backup and NG powered generator for grid down backup situations, the wiring of that and understanding of how it all works escapes me (except at a high level).
Glad you are able to figure all this stuff out without burning down your house.

  • Solar has been the next big thing destined to become commonplace for 30 years ……..yet it hasn't.

  • That’s an excellent ROI. At your $8243 initial investment, and your panels making roughly $1200 a year, every year for 30 years, that’s a 436.7% ROI, or roughly 14.6% ROI year to year. That’s almost twice the ROI for the S&P 500 year to year

  • Probably a better title for the video is 'Is paying for a solar system and installation worth it' It has never been easier to Diy a system and for the savvy types it can literally be done for 1/3 the price making an easy 4 year pay back. Then it's the middle finger to power companies for the next 20 to 30 years.

  • Yeah, work for you every day of the year as long as the sun is out 😂

  • how can I ban those greedy YouTubers who are advertising products they do not believe or they won't buy?

  • I prefer fossil fuel power or nuclear so that I know I'm not killing kids in the Congo who mine the materials needed to make these solar panels and batteries. Solar panel waste is more poisonous than nuclear waste.

  • Remember, BEFORE you do anything with solar, do the Much More cost effective energy saving technique of changing all your lightbulbs to LED bulbs in your house! Over the life of an individual LED light bulb, you can save $150 per bulb in electricity over 10 or 20 years for the cost of $5 per bulb! What other investment can you turn $5 into $150?! Only illegal things have that rate of return, but this is perfectly legal! And the installation is as simple as screwing in a lightbulb! You can convert your fluorescent lights to LED Tube lights as well! Amazon, eBay, Home Depot, take your shopping pick!

  • Mirrors! Why aren't mirrors used with solar panels? With solar panels being so expensive, it only makes logical sense to make sure they are being used a lot and more of the time. So why not have mirrors to direct sunlight on to your panels? Not enough to burn them out, or anything like that. You could even get detailed and get the mirrors to direct just the right amount of sunlight, that the panels can handle. Or you could get even more detailed by directing more light in low light conditions and less light in higher light conditions. With mirrors, the possibilities are endless and cheap, but no one is doing it! No company is cashing in, YET! Mirrors!

  • You should put a heat pump system on your garage to heat it during the winter!

  • I am not sure on that statement about an F-150 lightning being cheaper than buying batteries. I would love to see the numbers on that.

  • A friend of mine bought tesla batteries from crashed tesla cars, to build he's own battery backup system at home. Maybe give it a try?

  • I left a video sponsored by anker for that battery

    To this video

    For that battery

    Oh my god

  • Do the calculation of taking 9k and buying an index fund instead and see which gives a bigger rate of return. It is very close to a push for finances and the only reason it is close is because you did the install yourself. If you pay for the install it would have been closer to 20k for the cost of your panels making it way more financially viable not to do the install.

  • How r u running the power at night without the battery

  • Hey just an odd question but is this how you always talk or is this just a very clean way you speak for videos? It seems extremely natural to you

  • Great video. I checked out your Solar Wholesale link, but it appears they just do Grid-Tie Systems. Do you have sources that do something similar, but for an off-grid type of setup that uses battery/power station backup? (I'm using the Bluetti AC300 system) as my power station/inverter.

  • The solar panel can handle with fator of power ?

  • In germany this will be great , we are at 0,3 doller / kwh

  • How to send energy to electrical company that probably have 2000 volts or more in the cables ?
