  • Every rv I had used a propane fridge. Do electric fridges run on an inverter or no?

  • The question about – how does the fridge stay cold when your driving ? – to the best of my knowledge most RV fridges switch automatically to propane when the electricity is no longer available . I'm not sure about the newest systems – i believe they run on 12Volts.

  • FINALLY!! I've been watching about 5 vids from this couple (subbed by the way) and the dude reminded me of someone and I couldn't put my finger on it and then it hit me. French Stewart from the tv show ''3rd Rock from the sun''. Granted he doesn't squint his eyes but the voice and some of the mannerisms are similar. Any who great vid as always. 🙂

  • ok I need to throw this out if no one else has yet. You may need a CDL to tow a RV it will be based on the combined weight of the truck and RV. any dealer should be able to answer that or a call to you local PO and ask for their DOT officer.

  • If your limiting yourself to 3 hours driving a day, I have no idea how you'll reach 300 miles . That RV better have wings.

  • I just found you and I subscribed after 2 videos! You are so funny and so much fun to watch! Contemplating if and when to start RVing!

  • Whitest couple award 🏆

  • HI! just found you guys…YAAAAAAY! I am as new as they get to RV life. I am a newly widowed 61 yr old and sold my house to be full time rv. Tired of the neighborhood drama. So…here i am..parked on family property and stumbling through my new life. 1ST question…i am connected to water supply and for some reason my new rv has a half full freshwater tank i have never used. Do i empty it and how? Not comfortable with standing water (on month 3) and concerned about mold, algae, and yuck building up in there. My SALESMAN didnt bother to discuss these things the minute i signed the check! I dont plan on traveling for a good long while just full time living for now. Any tips, hints, and HELP figuring this out. How do i get the water OUT of my freshwater holding and/or should i add more?

  • You guys don't run your fridge on gas while driving? Heard mixed opinions on whether you should or not.

  • As to whether or not you need a special license to drive and RV is, it depends on your state of licensure. Some states require one, most don't. What you will never need is a CDL if it is your personal RV, although some will say you do. What they are really talking about is the special licenses required by some states. I know I'm late to the party, deal with it.

  • Fridge stays cold on the road using either propane or electricity if it’s a 12v fridge.

If it’s a 12v fridge it will run like normal while driving and (normally) your 7 pin connector will help keep the coach battery charged enough to keep the fridge running.

If you have a 120v/propane fridge, the fridge will either automatically or manually need to be changed from electric power to propane gas. These systems will keep the fridge cold while you are on the road will minimal draw from the coach battery.

If your trying to decide which one will work best for you… 12v fridges are great IF… you have solar and are in sunny areas often.
If not then a 120v/propane fridge may be the best option for off grid camping for you.

  • Fun content and good info for newbies. The only thing I would add is some states require a different class of driver's license based on length and or weight of the RV you will be towing. For example, in California you need a special endorsement to tow an RV over 10,000 pounds which will include most 35 foot and longer 5th Wheels. The endorsement is easy to get (additional questions on the driver's license written test) and will really help with any liability in the event of an accident. Rv'ers just need to do a little homework.

  • My question would be how true is the general opinion that RV’s begin falling apart as soon as they leave the factory.

  • The fridge switches to propane when not plugged in to power.

  • So, what if you haven't gone 300 miles in 3 hours and arrived by 3? Just how flexible are you with that rule?

  • You two make my day!! I own a hydraulic repair shop and when i need a good laugh i get on my computer and check yall out! Good tips also. My wife and i have a travel trailer at this time, but.. we are going to step up to a fifth wheel within a year. Oh,, and a 2500 truck. Thanks for all you do!!!

  • So with the “3-3-3 Rule” does that mean you’re driving 100 miles an hour? 😂

  • Regarding drivers licence, depends on the size and weight. Larger RV's, especially coaches, need a commercial driver's license. Check federal and local laws. Majority of RVs don't need anything special, but the bigger RVs do need CDL.

  • We did it in the winter of 2018 for three months in Bentonville AR while we were selling vour home it went thru 2 tanks of propane a week

  • Winter RVing – not for us, but we always carry an electric space heater, why deplete your propane to run the furnace if you are paying for shore power anyway ? Got caught in an early October snowstorm in WY, tip: turn off the water if you don't need it, uncouple and drain the supply hose and bring it inside for the night, won't make that mistake again LOL. Or you can buy a heated supply hose…

  • We pulled a 34ft 5wheel for two years with a 1/2 ton . But it was updated with air bags. It worked the truck. We did updated to a 2500.

  • they are probably even more goofy off camera…i love it.

  • What is the tyical lifespan of full time RVing? Do people get tired of it?

  • This content is horrible but the female is hot so I lasted to 1:43

  • Y'all are absolutely awesome and nailed it! I see us going down a deep rabbit hole with all the videos! 🙂 We just sold the house a month ago, traded in our 2021 Grand Design Imagine travel trailer for our 2023 Grand Design Solitude S Class 2930RL and are now full timing it with our three dogs and camper cat! Currently in north Texas…….let's go Texas summer heat!!!!

  • High. Will you please explain the 3 – 3 – 3 rule. Three hours Three hundred miles by 3 O'clock. That woud be traveling 100 MPH. I'm good with that but I think it is against the law. You You Hanks are informative and funny. Peace Out.

  • I think the rule for old RVs is to keep the riff raff out. Don’t want the place turning into the hood

  • Just need the sign posted “ if the trailer is a rocken don’t come a knocken “ 🤣
