We traveled 1281 miles and 23 hours to get from Gorham, New Hampshire to Marion, Kentucky to see the total solar eclipse. We heard about the eclipse just a week before it happened so we traveled for three days straight, two of them with over 10 hours of driving, stayed in Walmart parking lots and got horrible sleep, but we would do it all over again to see another eclipse. We didn’t know what to expect, and we began second guessing our decision to leave New Hampshire to see it, but this turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences of our lives.
