The Shawnee Wine Trail is just a hop, skip, and jump away from where we stayed in the Shawnee National Forest. It consists of eleven wineries all along a well-marked 40 mile trail. We were only able to experience two of them, but we can only imagine how great they all our since our experiences were so great! We highly recommend any wine lovers around Southern Illinois make their way to some of the wineries along this trail, if not all of them!
