AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage – only slightly more violent. It’s a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on YouTube are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping – except that it doesn’t cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn’t cost you anything to click these links, and it’s a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

  • Yosemite is in the Central California area. I know I live there.

  • One of my favorite places to visit is hwy 395. From this hwy, you can take Tioga pass, hwy 120, over the pass to Yosemite. There is sooo much to see on hwy 395. It is the eastern side of the Sierras. Beautiful in fall. Check out the June Lakes loop. We spent an entire month once in this area and have returned to see more. Happy trails, Donna

  • Do you recall the lowest tunnel heights in/out of Yosemite? My rig is 10'5

  • In the heart of Dixie, orange and blue will identify a person's views of life and safety. He may think he can fly just like that eagle down on the plains.

  • And stay away from the wildlife? I saw idiots wading up the river trying to get better pictures of a family of bears… they were within 50 feet when I decided that I didn’t want to see what would happen next.

Get yourself a decent zoom lens. Much safer than trying to get closer than 50 feet to bears!

  • The Glacier Point road will be closed over the entire 2020 season while they rebuild the highway. The closure will extend from the Badger Pass Ski Area to Glacier Point.

  • I'm sorry but what is there not to like about your vids? Any thumbs down must just be by folks who have a terrible outlook on life. You guys are through best. Thank you for you.

  • OK, just watched Long Long Trailer. Yikes! Truck, yes. Airstream, no. Thanks for the great info!

  • I visit Yosemite every year on YouTube and beat the crowds every time.

  • Absolute best experience is to wait for a weekday winter storm that is expected to drop snow above 3000 feet. (The Valley floor is only 3200) Take chains. Walking anywhere in the Valley on virgin snow after a storm is one of life's greatest experiences. Photograph the first golden rays of dawn hitting El Capitan. There will be no people, the deer ignore you, and ice glazes the waterfalls with a winter frosting. Leave the RV home and stay at the Yosemite Inn, eat next door at the commissary. Bucket List Experience!

  • When you started the vlog and said “Karen”, “afraid of heights”, “fulltime RVer”. I thought, wait… I didn’t write in! All of those descriptors fit me though. I was there mid April of this year. My GPS took me in a crazy way, so I won’t talk about that. However, my trip out of the west gate took me down some steep grades with switchbacks. A little scary to say the least. Seeing as there are only 3 of us who could drive with the trailer (me, myself, or I), I held on tight and put the truck in 2nd gear and drove. There are quite a few pull offs and I took advantage of them to let my brakes cool down. So my advice to the other Karen, if you have another driver, put an eye mask on and take a muscle relaxant so you can sleep on the way! Once you get there I didn’t find it too bad. There’s lots to do on solid ground.

  • Mono Vista RV Park in Lee Vining California on the Eastern side of Yosemite is a great Park and we've met a lot of out of country people that have rented a Class C RV there and made some nice friends. You can take your vehicle or truck into Yosemite it takes about an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes and it's next to Mono Lake also which is a great spot to visit and about an hour and 20 minutes to half an hour north of Mammoth Mountain which has a couple of nice RV parks and Scenic Beauty.

  • We spent 10 days in late March visiting the park. Due to high snowfall this year, some areas of the park were still closed. If you are a member of Escapees, we would highly recommend Park Sierra near Coarsegold for your base camp and driving into the park.

  • I live about about an hour S/W from Yosemite, have been up to the park dozens of times, the road isn’t that bad, the park is worth the minimal stress it takes to drive the roads. Strike with confidence and respect and you’ll be good!

  • We have done 3 cross country trips to the west coast and every time we wanted to visit Yosemite it was on fire!!!! We finally gave up….sad

  • You guys look so happy all the time. Fantastic channel I have learned so much from watching And learning it’s helped me in making my channel the best I can
Thank you guys keep it up

  • The only thing personal concerning Yosemite I can think of is when I was young I watched a lot of Bugs Bunny with Yosemite Sam.

  • Great info. The wife and I are thru-hiking the JMT southbound from Yosemite (Happy Isles) to Mt. Whitney early September. Your warning about falling is on point. During my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail I climbed out on out cropping’s for the perfect shot. I was all by myself and had I fallen I wouldn’t have been found.

When I was in Virginia I stepped on what looked like a dry rock, slipped and caused tendon damage. Luckily the fall didn’t happen where it would of killed me. That incident changed me and I’ll never take any risks.

  • Were were in Yosemite in mid-March. While there were a lot of people, it was not jammed – can't imagine what it would be like during peak season. Unfortunately, the Sierras received a large amount of snow this season so that was an issue – snow changes were required. In addition, the snow caused considerable damage to some campsites, but when we were there they were working diligently to clean up the debris. We stayed in a campsite in Groveland, CA. While a good site, it was a considerable drive to the park.

  • How many miles a day do you guys travel with your RV. God bless

  • Tiago pass probably won’t open until August this year.

  • Great video!
I've been a campground host for one of the campgrounds on the eastern side (Tioga Pass…hwy 120) and those campgrounds are small and not really RV friendly. The campgrounds along Hwy 395 are better…but…to drive up Tioga road can be slow.

As for the reader who's afraid of heights, I'd say the portion of Hwy 41 leaving Yosemite valley (As in going to Glacier Point) is really the only white-knuckle area.

  • I am considering purchasing an Airstream and wondered if you could give us an idea what to expect for annual maintenance costs. I'm sure there are a lot of variables, just wanted to hear your opinion. I enjoy your videos very much. Safe travels!

  • Ugh! The reservation window just opened yesterday at 9am for September. I was sitting with my mouse in submit button right at 9am, and I guess I was too slow, because within seconds all campsites were booked.

  • Yellowstone had limitations on overall length, INCLUDING tow vehicle. So my small 19 foot long trailer counted as 39 feet once connected to my pickup. Really limited my choices.
