BenQ SW321C – The Ultimate Monitor for Stills & Motion.

The SW321C pairs its broad specification with good practical features. This screen has 150mm of height adjustment and can both swivel from left-to-right and tilt forwards and backwards. It can also swing around into portrait mode and it works with 100mm VESA mounts. There is also a useful USB-C port and an SDXC card slot included.

“It’s a very straightforward monitor to work with,” says Joe. “The onboard controls enabled us to make any minor tweaks to colour and contrast to match it closely to another reference display with a nice neutral feel. Another feature I was really impressed with, and more than a little surprised by, was the monitor’s ability to offer both picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes. This is a really useful high-end feature that even some of the more expensive products don’t have.

“The benefit of this is that you can display images on screen from two separate inputs, each of which you can independently set the colour and gamma space, along with the colour temperature, and have different results you can monitor on the same screen.”

The SW321C’s side-by-side capability also enables other benefits. Being compatible with HDR10 and HLG formats, videographers can preview the HDR effect of the video content during the editing process by directly comparing HDR and Standard Definition footage.
