“I was in our backyard flowerbed early one morning with my macro lens searching for some insects or flowers to photograph,” explains Baker. “I was peering underneath a large host plant when I had an idea to attach my ultra wide angle (20mm) lens and put the camera under the canopy to take a few shots. A property I love with wide angle lenses is their ability to focus close to their subjects and provide interesting perspectives that can’t be replicated with a macro lens. This shot reminds me of a scene from the movie ‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids’.”

Nikon Z6, Nikon 20mm f/1.8G lens. Settings: 1/20 sec., f/10, ISO 250.
