Fujifilm reopening the House of Photography on 9th July

London’s biggest photography experience centre re-opens to the public on Thursday 9 July

Fujifilm confirms central London experiential concept store, the FUJIFILM House of Photography, will welcome back members of the public at 11am on Thursday 9 July.

Fujifilm has today announced that its experiential concept store in the heart of London, the ‘FUJIFILM House of Photography’ (www.fujifilm-houseofphotography.com) will re-open to the public at 11am on Thursday 9 July.

The decision follows the UK Government’s guidance on easing restrictions for non-essential retailers. Over the past few months, the team have been working tirelessly to ensure necessary measures are in place to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for visitors and staff. The essence of the House of the Photography remains unaffected, with a focus on the experience of photo taking, making and sharing.

A number of restrictions and measures have been introduced to the store, which include;

  • A pre-booking system for visitors who wish to get hands-on with a specific FUJIFILM product in store or have a 1-2-1 appointment with a product specialist.

  • A limit on the number of customers entering the store and a one-way system throughout.

  • The introduction of two queues to enter the store – one for pre-booked visitors and one for guests who wish to browse FUJIFILM products and services.

  • Prominent and clear social distancing signage.

  • Rigorous and frequent cleaning.

  • Provisions of hand sanitiser for customers to use at the entrance and cash desk.

  • Provisions of disinfectant wipes at all ‘hands-on’ product stations.

  • Cashless transactions only, meaning payment only by card and contactless devices.

  • Protective screens at checkouts and all shop staff will wear protective masks

  • Limiting the number of additional customer services – for example sensor cleaning will initially only operate on a once-weekly basis.

  • The Studio and Long Acre Lounge, remaining closed, with no workshops currently scheduled

“We are delighted to welcome back visitors to the House of Photography. It has been a challenging time for many people and we’ve been working hard on how we can welcome customers back in a safe environment and still ensure we offer the best Photographic experience to everyone. The FUJIFILM House of Photography is a unique experience and we’ve missed seeing our customers who wanted to explore everything that is great about picture taking and picture making. You will be welcomed back with some adjustments, but you’ll be able to touch & try the full range of instax, X-Series, GFX and printing products that Fujifilm have to offer.”
