Leica have announced their 4th call for entries to the Leica Women Foto Project Award.

For the first time ever, Leica’s initiative to promote diversity in photography has expanded to include entries from the UK, Canada and Mexico as well as the United States, to award one winner in each region with a Leica SL2-S, a Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f/2.8 ASPH. Lens and a cash prize of $10,000. Entrants may submit a photo story bearing witness to humanity through a the perspective of women, and it is not required that they use Leica equipment. A panel of renowned judges from around the world, including Mary McCartney, Liz Arthur Johnson, and Whitney Matewe, will be responsible for selecting the winners, which are announced on the 8th March 2023.

In Spring, Leica – in collaboration with The British Journal of Photography – will host a series of panel talks to explore the impact of diversity behind the lens on the way in which we see the world.
