âMy climbing buddy and I climbed Pigeon Spire in Bugaboo Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada,â explains Connel. âI debated about bringing my DSLR camera, not wanting to haul the extra weight up the peak. Since I did bring the camera with me, I spent the whole climb looking for that unique perspective to capture the drama of climbing and the rugged beauty of the mountains. When we got to a saddle, I knew immediately that this was the image I wanted. If you look very closely, you can see my climbing buddy in a red jacket on the ridge. Iâm so glad that I carried the extra weight.â
