Rain Will Fall Exihibition, 1-30 November 2022

‘Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.’ Edgar Degas

The second online exhibition from Felt Photographic is now open for submissions! Works are requested in response to RAIN WILL FALL – photography that has been created to express and understand our shadows, art that helped find the light where it was least expected, images to inspire hope.

The exhibition will be curated entirely on how the panel responds emotionally and somatically to works received, what Kathryn calls the ‘Felt Process’. Felt Photographic celebrates the fundamental call to create – how we make sense of the world, who we are and our place in it. Felt Photographic works from the premise that all art has value and our responses are entirely subjective therefore submissions will not be critiqued, score or judged – simply felt, noticed and appreciated. Beautiful.

Which of your images is calling to be seen? Which needs to be felt?

Submissions are welcome from any genre and level of photography. The only criteria is that your image was created in response to your emotions and is calling to be seen.

The gallery will be an invitation for visitors to deeply connect with the art – how are you responding? What can you learn about yourself and how that might inform who you are and how you are really feeling? What will this inspire you to do more or less of? What might change as a result?

Submit your work HERE, full terms and conditions are on the form. Max one image per artist. Closing date Sunday 9 October 9pm (GMT); zoom panel discussion Thursday 10 November 7pm (GMT); exhibition runs 1-30 November 2022.
