“This is Crystal Lake in the San Juan Mountains in Southwest Colorado,” says Woodard. “As I arrived to this location predawn, there wasn’t a cloud in sight. Just as the dawn light was increasing, this lone high streak of a cloud appeared from the west. It caught some great early light and turned this soft pink for about 2 minutes. As fast as the light happened, it was gone. It was a great moment to witness.”
