A cleanse won't detox your body — but here's what will | Body Stuff with Dr. Jen Gunter

Put down the cayenne-lemon water and step away from the herbal tea. Cleanses and detox products like these don’t remove toxins, says Dr. Jen Gunter, and some of them may even be hurting your health. Learn how your body rids itself of harmful substances and what you can do to keep this system running smoothly.

Think you know how your body works? Think again! Dr. Jen Gunter is here to shake up everything you thought you knew — from how much water you need to drink to how often you need to poop and everything in between. This TED original series will tell you the truth about what’s *really* going on inside you.

  • Wrong!!!! Why you guys listen to this she’s telling you the obvious!!! Eating healthy food exercising getting good sleep everybody knows this!!! The part she’s not mentioned and won’t because these people are hired by the government they won’t tell you the truth about what’s causing cancer your Makossa the intestinal wall is filled with mucoid plaque and parasites that control your cravings. Do natural detoxes fasting and along with juicing will flush out the pipes why would you go on a healthy diet spending tons of money on healthy food only to consume 20% of the nutrients because your intestinal walls are blocked by mucoid plaque doesn’t make sense.

  • The title of this article is misleading, It should have read “there is no detox formula”. Then go into explanation.

  • YouTube is a captured platform. This whole video is semantics. Science from the beginning of man disagrees with her

  • Yea um fasting does wonders for the body and healing. Obviously take care of yourself when you're not but fasting is healing and you feel amazing after.

  • Been eating once a day, even on weekends, I just wait for 4 o clock to roll by and I eat a normal sized meal, occasionally dessert.. it’s amazing how much free time you have when you don’t worry about eating three times a day..

  • I don't know what official credentials this woman has, but seeing how good she looks and that she isn't so young is enough for me. Takes understanding or extreme luck to be that healthy.

  • What about vit D3 they push it so hard and it seems to help for a short time but not long term.

  • Ya do nothing and keep the standard american diet with a little bit of alcohol. Who sponsored this chic?

  • Lemon is VERY detoxifying. The same way it can kill germs outside the body and freshen up your home, it does the same inside the body. Dont understand the insistence by ppl like this to downplay foods/herbs for health. If foods didnt impact your health we wouldn't bother making a food pyramid or discouraging fast food etc. Wake up ppl.

  • Does fasting help you detox? I just fasted 5 days, going to start a 4 day fast tomorrow. I've been doing keto, and need to pass a drug test, like alcohol. Thank you for you help!!!!

  • Fasting can be beneficial. I'm not sure about the rest.

  • She says to not cleanse because we have a liver. Since we also have an immune system, why does she push vaccines and big pharma medicines so hard? I mean "tHaT's wHaT oUr iMmuNe sYsteM is fOr". She doesn't see her hypocrisy.

  • This doctor is an 1di ot. Classic big pharma shill. Tells everyone to ignore any natural treatment or cleanse, and to wait until you they get sick then take her pills! She even managed to tell everyone to get more vaccinations 😂😂

  • A well done detox takes 2 years to do. Gut detox, mucoid plaque, liver detox, heavy metal detox, parasite detox. You don't detox in 2 weeks. That sounds more like a mainstream commercialized detox from people who have no idea how to do it.

  • Fasting bloodletting unhealthy foods do work. Rockefeller medicine is a scam.

  • Fasting is the way. Fruit fast for the first few days and then drink water for 2 more days. Very slowly reintroduce solid foods after this.

  • This woman has no idea what she is talking about. This video is nothing more than PR for a pharmaceutical company than about health. Oh yes, be careful with supplements but say nothing about pharmaceutical drugs that kill hundreds of thousands of people in this country every year. Yet if someone were to somehow overdose on a vitamin or herb, it would be on the nightly news.
I’m on a raw food diet, primarily fruit and today is day 68. I have lost 18 pounds and I think I have stabilized because I stopped loosing weight so far. When I mowed the lawn yesterday, my perspiration stained my T-shirt that not even the washer was able to remove. My body is releasing so much junk, I can feel it. I feel weak and tired after I come home from the gym every morning. That’s because it takes so much energy for the body to cleanse itself. I even did a liver flush in the beginning which caused my liver and gallbladder to release some gallstones. I didn’t have many, but I had some. It had been a while since I last flushed my liver and gallbladder. However, it is true that merely drinking something is not going to miraculously detox the body. It’s a long and slow process in which the body will autolyze, metabolize things that don’t belong, including cysts, tumors, sick and dying cells, chemicals from makeup, hair dyes, perfumes, deodorants, pesticides , herbicides, fungicides and many other chemicals. Many of these are on our foods that are sprayed or simply are absorbed through their roots. The air we breathe contains chemicals from pollution. Like I said, detoxing is a process.

  • “Don’t fast if you want to reset your intestines. But take shots with heavy metals and dead baby cells”.

    Thanks!

  • clean out the digestive tract of parasites, and the body will be able to naturally detox

  • There’re something that I disagreed with ur opinion.. you maybe didn’t think of sick ppl.. nothing wrong with cayenne and lemon … just don’t exaggerate when doing, drinking, eating something… don’t forget about FASTING, MEDITATION, EXERCISE..

Sorry I don’t watch full video bc of the title.. I’m too focused on reading the comments… 😐
