LOL. I like the penny ad Mike. Yeah Zack works too hard not to get a sub
GOLD
Your labor hours are way too low! Don't did stuff by the hour figure out how much time it's going to take you then charge 200 bucks an hour. But the thing is you got to be faster than everybody else and you have to have good equipment. You can't go out there with a pair of Craftsman Bush trimmers and expect to make that type of money.
I hit 80k last year.
The relevance of route density is really coming into view. You really wanna pinpoint in and try to nail down whole neighborhoods. Then you focus on your core and if you have to start cutting clients, you can cut along the peripheral, via a price increase. You could have a day where you hit 20 lawns, then another you only can do 6, due simply to the fact of geography and logistics.
Good stuff Andes !
Can you talk more about business license and Insurance more please
I agree with the numbers until it turns off dry and your not mowing. You better have a backup plan. Mulching and shrub trimming won't be enough.
Or you need 35 accounts that pay $240 a month. ($80 A SERVICE AT 36 VISITS). I AIM FOR $80 AN HOUR. ANYTHING LESS THAN AN HOUR – FALLS AT MY $240 PER MONTH MINIMUM. IF THEY CANT MAKE THAT HAPPEN – MOVE ON DO NOT TAKE THAT ACCOUNT. ITS NOT A GOOD IDEA FOR 1 PERSON TO HIT MORE THAN 30-35 ACCOUNTS. ITS JUST TOO MUCH. UNLESS THEY ARE STACKED AND FAIRLY SMALL, 50 ACCOUNTS WOULD KILL ONE PERSON.
I love these videos. It gives me great perspective on how I should run my business. But what I am wondering is why not take on more mowing clients instead of upsaling on big projects with existing clients.
Would you recommend going with a big company like Progressive for commercial auto and liability insurance or with one of those more local, much smaller insurance companies?
just do sub work it is much more lucrative and the money is guaranteed
Great video. Thanks for breaking down the simple math. It's not rocket science. Just grind it out and make it happen
