In last week’s video we explained how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting us and full time RVing in general. At the end of that video we asked for your questions so we could answer them in this Q&A video.
Upon reading the questions we realized that a lot of you guys – especially our fellow RVers – are pretty afraid of what is happening. Many of you are concerned with how this pandemic will affect campgrounds and the ability to travel.
We heard from RVers who have been kicked out of campgrounds due to closures and now have nowhere to go. What is a full time RVer to do who has no family to stay with and all campgrounds in their state have been closed?
We answer these questions and many more in the video below.

Thank you for supporting the channel ♥ If we've done our jobs we've inspired someone to chase their dreams!
The 25 thumbs down. Do you know what they have and you don’t? Common sense. These two are full of common sense. It’s late and I just found this video but I will update my review. You both are doing a great job.
Thank you so much! Great info.
I think the takeaway for me is covid doesn't affect them, literally. FT RV requires self-sufficiency and health.
What we know as the, "9-5" is an illusion. What we know as the, "house with a picket fence, a dog and 2 kids," is fake.
Im sure we would see a decrease in health problems as well. Baby boomers RV. I'm unsure how prominent of a role the 70's played in RV'ing, bandwagoning, hitchin, etc…I digress. Thank u 4 answering my questions!
This video is confirmation💡
Question, do you fart more because of the stress ?
Your lifestyle will be no problem if you have this portable recycling hot water shower Rewashower.
Search Google for rewashower
You guys should do a traveling with pets video or something about how to deal with native wildlife!
Hi guys….love your channel and your style of RVing. Your solar install series is the best thing on the internet. I was wondering, after all your experience, has your conception of the perfect rig for your style of camping changed ? Would you go smaller, or bigger, or a different class or anything else majorly different if you had it to do all over again? Personally, I think your trailer is perfect for what you do, but what do I know?
We got a spot for you
If I bought something on Amazon (big ticket item) and did not link it o you, can I go back and link it to you so that you can get financial credit?
We sold our house and moved into our toy hauler and moved to my sister n laws house in January. We were planning our route around the US and saving up money for our trip when all of this started. I'm so glad we didn't just leave because we'd be sent right back! Can't wait for this to all be over so we can get back to our adventures. Be safe guys!! 🙏🤗
on average how much is water and dump fees?
Of course i wash my hands, change my clothes, and clean and wipe down the car. I do wear a mask also. It takes awhile but needs to be done to protect yourself as much as you can. Stay safe stay well.
When i go out to a store for food, i come home take my shoes off spray the bottoms off. I don’t bring them in the house till later. Then i wipe all the grocery’s down. Wipe the counters where they have sat
24 hours on cardboard. 72 Hours on hard surfaces. That's more than a short period for contraction and easily to contract considering the amount of people who use their hands for coughing and touching everything. Co=Corona Vi=Virus D=Disease -19=2019 = CoViD-19
Just let us know if you find any persistent food shortages. My area near fort worth seems to be having a hard time, ironically, keeping beef on the shelves.
One thing my wife and have done for trips to the store is we lined regular dust masks with two layers of 100% cotton on the inside. The thinking now is any facial coverage is better than none. We also put non-perishable food items aside for 48 hrs. According the health officials the virus can not live on most items longer than that amount of time. Thanks for the post.
great work guys
Good video and info..for showers you always do (BW) Showers of baby wipes lol
When you were boondocks get in Sarona where did you camp. Looking for some boondocking spots.
Note 3/6/20 I'm here in national forest north of deadwood south Dakota & I've chatted with local ranger he said they're not enforcing the 14 day limit as of now how ever they are enforcing cleanliness of your site…
Thanks for the info.
Thank you for the sanity!
So are people abusing the limit because of lack of infrastructure? We have invested and planned for these very times. Right?
Would never have thought that a “vast” area like Ocotillo Wells svra would be closed but they (California) did it. All state parks in CA are closed so best to avoid CA. We are in Arizona now and it isn’t as “zero tolerance” here. I have made the decision to keep my house in Borrego Springs for the next ( I pray never again) shut down of our society. Stay sane my friends.
I work as a seasonal BLM Park Ranger, I take notice of campers in popular areas. Typically campers leave after a few days, but I document when they are there longer than a week. If your campsite is clean and it doesn't look like you have setup permanent residence I will give you a warning at the 14 day mark after I noticed you. If you don't leave by the next time I come by or you're a jerk, I will elevate to LEO. If your campsite is trashed, or there is a complaint and it's obvious that you are violating BLM rules I will make contact and elevate it to our LEO immediately. There is more land than BLM Rangers could possibly visit, we concentrate on popular and trouble areas. The 14 day limit is in place to reduce impact to a particular site, please respect that even when no one is watching.
What is BLM?
You guys are being smart. I am a nurse and have seen how this affects people first hand. My biggest concern because I care for my camping family is boondocking way out in desert and corona virus do not mix. Make sure you know where the closest hospital is and that they have sufficient icu type beds. If it hits you you could easily be unable to travel. It can be much worse than the flu. Have a plan b in case one of you gets sick. I know odds are you will be ok, but please have plan B. Because I care! 🤗 Im a nurse and am seeing how this affects people. Its no joke and I am seeing young healthy people in our hospital. They go from dry cough to trouble breathing FAST. Please have a plan B and if you get any symptoms head close to a city. We love your videos. Take care ☺️
Hey guys, love your channel! I’m just wondering if you guys have asked about a PilotFlyingJ rewards card. Not the credit card they offer but the rewards card we truckers use. I don’t believe you HAVE to be a truck driver to get one and they are free. The reason I bring it up is because my local Flying J only charges me $ 2.00 to dump the tanks on my trailer if I scan my rewards card first. It might be worth looking into anyway. Happy trails!
shelter in place guy's be very careful your boon dockers that alone is a impressive feat alone now just rashion every thing you have shelter in place were are in up state ny it's not good here but we live in boonies and all we do is boon dock camping when were out so all these skill we have learned all come in to play please take no chances this could get bad i dont want to sound alarming but looters are all ways a concern watch your back stay safe im older than dirt so iv seen a lot in my times
By far, the most pleasant presentation on cv i have come across. Agree with you both. Dont need to do another cv video. Thanks for being so upbeat
We are full time RV newbies, only been on the road 1 year. You certainly calmed our nerves about finding places to go. Thank you so much for that!! Stay safe out there!!
Y'all are well informed and doing all the right things. Best wishes.
I use disposable gloves for gas, door handles, etc
Marvy and I have been living in a van for over 9 months out west. But now I am walking across America. I started in Boston and hopefully can make it to Oregon. Marvy drives the van and meets me at the end of each day. Parking is a challenge each day. Very different from all of the BLM land back west. But so far the police and fire departments have been helpful letting us stay in their parking lots.
Good video! All BLM land is closed in California!!
You two are just awesome! I love all your videos. As a 61-year old non full time RV-er, I still dream (my wife not so much) of becoming full timers after retirement. Keep up the good work! Be safe and healthy!
Great job, we can see you are doing your part to help stop the spread.
Glad you guys are good. I sure hope this doesn't mess up your friend's wedding. That would be rough. Also sad there won't be a meetup :/ Thats ok. Maybe we will cross paths on the road 🙂 Thanks for all the awesome tips and trips! lol
truck stops chage 12 unless you get 50 gals then free cards collect pounts and showers. swipped at counter. cads are free just ask
Great information. Can you guys do the daily Corona Virus updates from the White House briefing room ? If so, we may get credible people to level with us.
Another great video, thanks David ,Jenni, Sweetie, Alice, and all – stay safe!
Excellent, thoughtful advice. Stay safe!
Well done.
Moab dispersed camping is closed down.
Scientists found that SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, can be detected in aerosols for up to three hours and on plastic and stainless steel surfaces for up to three days.
David & Jenny great job answering peoples questions . In feel your answers were spot on . Stay safe & stay well . David where did you get your haircut it looks nice ?
Well done guys, nice to see you guys are safe and happy coming into Easter. My buddy is a BLM GUY. Uses the gym at the Rec center here in Cottonwood/Sedona area which is closed down until further notice. He jas been popping in here the last couple of times for showers. One thing we have noticed out here, which was in the local newspaper is the big increase in the amount of garbage being left in our beautiful desert. Which the Forest service and BLM, are starting to take notice of because it is a lot. Maybe you can say something in your next video, if it's happening here its happening everywhere. Thanks be safe. We will get thru this. Dutch
