With all the problems we faced the first day of our 1,724 mile cross-country RV trip back home to Indiana, we were not looking forward to the rest of this long haul! Incessant rain, heavy snow through mountain passes, spilled bleach inside the RV, and a loud overnight spot had us worn out and road weary.

However, our luck turned and we faced none of these issues for the remainder of our trip. Experiencing the Yin and Yang of RV traveling was truly eye opening. Sometimes the miles grind by as you plow through problem after problem, and sometimes they roll on without a hitch!

Luckily, our five pets are excellent travel companions and sleep the majority of our travels. However, by our third day on the road we could tell they were fed up and ready to be out of the truck and stationary! We knew exactly how they felt and were glad to finally unhook back at my parent’s house in our hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

We’ve spent the past 3 years on the road as full time RVers so it’s been a long time since we’ve had our RV hooked up to my parent’s house. We are extremely excited to see my parents again and make up for lost time. That is definitely one downside of full time RVing and traveling – being so far from loved ones!
