Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Escalante Canyon Reflection” by David Connel. Location: Lake Powell’s Escalante Arm, Utah.

 “I rented a houseboat to explore and photograph Lake Powell for a week,” says Connel. “My main destination was the Escalante Arm of the lake. I used a kayak to explore the various side canyons. This particular canyon with the reflection was the highlight of the trip. Once I got the kayak into position to shoot the photo, I had to wait for all my paddle-stroke ripples to dissipate. I had to handhold my camera extremely still in order to take a series of pictures to create this HDR image.”
