Chilling Footage Shows Vicious Unprovoked Attack On 60-Year-Old California Homeless Man

A horrifying video is going viral this week, showing a 60-year-old homeless man being brutally beaten in California in an unprovoked attack, and police are now asking the public for help in finding the perpetrators.

Tim Richardson was sitting outside a 7-Eleven convenience store in Twentynine Palms on Monday when a young man walked up to him and began stomping on him for no reason. The entire attack was captured on surveillance footage, which showed the man walking out of a black car and then running back after the attack.

Richardson said afterward that he had never seen the man before, and that he didn’t do anything to provoke the attack. Thankfully, he was not seriously injured in the beating, according to The Blaze.

Local residents said that Richardson does not panhandle, and that he is often seen helping the small businesses by sweeping up for them. His friends are desperate to find the person who did this to him, and to bring the man to justice.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department released the following press release about the incident:

On August 17, 2020, at approximately 6:40 p.m., the victim was seated outside of the 7-Eleven business located at 73740 Twentynine Palms Highway in the city of Twentynine Palms. A black Nissan Altima stopped near the victim in the parking lot and the front passenger exited the vehicle and walked over to the victim.

Unprovoked, the suspect began kicking and stomping on the victim’s head. The suspect ran away, entering into the suspect vehicle, which was last seen driving south toward Twentynine Palms Highway. The initial crime went unreported to law enforcement. Morongo Basin detectives were later alerted to the crime after surveillance video was posted on local social media.

Detectives are currently seeking information on the suspects and registered owner of the vehicle used during the crime. Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Morongo Basin Station at (760) 366-4175.
