Today’s Photo of the Day is “Clash of Seasons in the Maroon Wilderness” by Clayton Peoples. Location: Colorado.

“The Maroon Bells are purportedly the most photographed mountains in Colorado,” explains Peoples. “Yet, despite the fact that it’s frequently visited/photographed, it takes luck to arrive when fall colors are peaking below the mountains—and even more luck to capture snow on the peaks. I was lucky enough to encounter both on a recent trip to Colorado.”
