  • You definitely should have more views.
    Thank you very much!

  • Unless I missed it you made no mention about reinstalling the drain plug in your water heater and switching your hot water heater line back from bypass. Of course this is critical because if you turn on your water heater without water flowing to it you’ll likely burn it out.

  • With the bleach mixture in the fresh water tank, would you run it through the hot water heater?

  • Great video. I am a total newbie, and have a question. While a motorhome is winterized, does it produce a smell in the RV? We bought our RV a few months ago and have been remodeling it. There are no leaks/mold. There is a distinct smell, that at first I described as musty, but now I am not so sure that it isn't just a winterized RV smell, if there is such a thing. I am very smell sensitive, so maybe its not musty but pipe smell? I run dehumidifiers. Have aired out, cleaned. Cant seem to get rid of it. I am hoping once we de winterize it will go away. My husband doesn't smell anything of course .

  • Wow, great video. Very helpful, thank you…. Could I do all of these steps at home, up until the system is being sanitized a day or 2 before my 1st trip and then when I get to the campsite Flush out the bleach?

  • Only in summer
What if need RV Motorhome in Winter Time
How to Dewinterizing in winter time I know do ask hard
    Question's
    What is the answer????

  • Thanks for the informative, easy to understand video. Tine to stop paying someone else to do this!

  • Great video. The one thing I've been trying to find is the step by step for the items required inside. ie…closing of which valves and where they are. The sequence of which vales to close , when and the plugs in various tanks. We have purchased a second hand trailer that is currently winterized. So the system is full of antifreeze so I am learning what I will need to do when I go up in the spring. Thanks from Toronto Canada.

  • I’ve done this and flushed my system but everything still continues to come out pink I’ve ran everything till my tank was empty filled it back up and it still comes out pink

  • No one ever says what to do if you have a washing machine

  • Your videos are awesome. Simple and easy to follow. Thanks!

  • Good vid. Question… Do I allow the bleach solution to go into the water heater?

  • Hi Lou,  I got a question about the Bug Screens on the hot water heater and the other ones.  Since I  have the 3051s model, I think those things are the same.  what size of screen did you get for the hot water door?  Thanks,  Phil

  • Great video! Question from a newbie. If I want to de-winterize at home on my driveway is there a safe way to empty the grey water tank that will have the anti-freeze and bleach in it? I'm just wondering how I can do all of this before I go camping for the first time.

  • Nice explanation Lou! Clean and concise. Get out there and enjoy that beautiful rig. thumbs up given

  • Winter must be over lol!!! What a long winter, but it does appear to be gone:) Belle and I drink the water, but Sabrina does not although she does use it for cooking. We sanitize our water about four times a year (every season change) since we live in it full time. We are not sure if we really need to do it that often or not, but we figure better safe than sorry. We just did it this week and one thing I have never done is run the water in the lines a bit to get the bleach to sit in them, I don't know why I never thought of that, I think I just figured the bleach would go through all the lines as it flushed out of the tank, but now thinking about it thats really not good enough. I'm going to go ahead and sanitize the tank again today and let it get in all of the lines too. Thanks Lou!!

  • Nice Job Lou, I know it’s always a good feeling after de-winterize our rigs. As always awesome straight forward tips. Nice Support on the Cool Shirt 😉
