It seems something always needs repaired on our RV. A part is breaking or something requires maintenance. Despite this though we feel we’ve been pretty lucky with our Keystone Springdale in that nothing MAJOR has gone wrong like a leaky roof or siezed axle knock on wood!

This time we noticed, upon arriving at our campsite in the Mojave National Preserve in California, that the vinyl trim that covers the hardware on the perimeter of our roof had cracked in half and had pulled out of it’s retaining slots. This seems to be a common issue and from now on I’ll be keeping a roll of this on hand since multiple places on our trailer utilize this plastic trim.

We vent our frustration by adventuring in the nearby Kelso Sand Dunes. These monuments of sand tower 650 feet above the ground and cover a staggering 45 square miles making them the most expansive dune system in the entire Mojave Desert! There is something very special about these dunes called singing sands or booming dunes. Check out the video to hear what it is!
