• I think the best way to explain why seventeen has different units although they can all sing, dance, and rap is because of detail. If you look at each member’s skill sets one by one you can see what they’re good at compared to what the EXCEL at. For example, everyone can dance and not fall behind however the performance unit catches little details, has better technique and better stage presence. All of seventeen can also sing extremely well however the vocal unit is more experienced when it comes to vocal range, hard techniques, pitch, and breath control. All of seventeen can rap but the hip hop unit has much better flow. I actually had the same question as you all did about why there are so many units if they can do everything, but when you look at each member separately you can see where they really excel and why they are in their unit! It’s amazing! They can do everything but still excel at something
