  • This information is exactly why we appreciate you guys so much. Really enjoyed staying in your RV at Thunder Canyon. We are total newbies and it was very Valuable to have the experience of staying in RVs without having to buy one first. Miss Thunder Canyon and you guys!!! So peaceful and wonderful – can't wait to go back. Totally recommend the rentals there! LOVED the chickens and totally recommend renting the Sandpiper at Thunder Canyon ❤❤❤❤

  • Let her speak, let things go, get your blood pressure checked. Same advice for myself.

  • If this discussion isn't staged, he's beyond rude. Let her talk without constant interruptions. She seems to know as much or more then he does.

  • Lol..yeah I saw that video where she drove 3 miles..lol…y friends have all gave up on the RV lifestyle..I had 4 friends all are married and after 2 years they all quit. They quit at different times but they're not going back into it. My wife and I will be doing rv but after next year. We have delayed it for 2 years now .but we're going to go for it..I spent 37 years heavy haul OTR and retired this year and quit the professional music touring scene as well. We are free once and for all..maybe we'll stop at thunder canyon too..

  • As someone who hates traveling long distance, it is physically painful to be stuck in a chair for hours on end. It’s nice to just go ahead and push through and get where you are going but it can come at a cost of week long pain for some people. Seeing new places is great but getting there is no fun. When you add in truck problems, camper problems, fighting kids and car sick dogs it’s just misery. For me the best part of a long camping trip is getting home.

  • Nope he’s not having it🤣
She’s trya pass off 7 miles of RV driving as stressful😂🤣

  • Rev life is just to expensive and very dangerous, it's smarter to have a house or apartment

  • Leaving in “drones”?! Must be pretty big drones.

    Oh, you meant DROVES. 🤦🏻‍♂️🙄

  • I can appreciate what you are saying… A thought, let her finish a sentence or two. It would help us see her prospective too. thanks.

  • Why can’t he let her talk. She is simply mentioning other methods of travel. He seems to be taking her point of view as an attack on him.

  • So tired of Click bait! 😡 BS announcement just to get more views because too many are now rv’ing and no longer watching videos as much. The old nomads are having a hard time getting monetary views and sponsors now. Just look up the data on this for Rv world has grown and still growing. The problem that makes people think this is because supply in demand and low quality rvs being made since Covid. 🙄

  • Lol on me. I’m 63, camped with parent’s growing up and loved it. 53 years later, I bought a 30’ towable with slide, and OMG, it is stressful to say the least. It’s not me or the trailer as much as the crazy people on the road trying to kill me, lol. The aggressive driving is off the chart. Also, My first set up was misty rain, site was horribly out of level, I got 15,000 steps that day loading the camper and setting it up. After 3 hours of driving too, I was exhausted, lol Hope it gets easier from here, just camping on occasion not living in one.

  • Mercedes, I really like your new glasses much more than your older ones from 4 years ago.

  • I disagree. People change. Many folks get tired and change up. As people get out of RVing full time others are joining. It runs its course with each couple. Just like biking, or any other recreation.

We don't do it full time, we don't want to do that.
We want it to stay fresh hitting the road once a month so it stays exciting. The people getting out of full time are doing so because the excitement has gone down.

    Good topic

  • Bigger is not always Better. You are right about that. This is especially true when you are just taking trips or vacations. All you really need to pull behind your vehicle is a room to eat and sleep and shower in. There are a lot of small units well suited for this. You will not be in your camper most of the time anyway. If you plan to RV full time or for the winter months you might want something bigger but even then I wouldn't go too big. But if you have money to burn and a CDL and a lot of Big Rig experience then go for it if that's your pleasure.

  • I started RVing with an old 1994 lazy days and covered 35,000 in 2017. I then moved into a travel trailer for short trips from Palm Springs California.
I like the lifestyle and the people we meet. I did get a CDL for my safety.
I really want to join your community. Are you offering long term stays.

  • After watching this entire video. I have been a full-time RV living since March 2020. I’m at my parents with my RV where I put in full hookups. I saw your channel and thought I would visit since I’m in Rainsville and close to Ider. But, after seeing this video, and seeing how misogynistic & controlling this guy is.
I was a history minor on college and saw all the same signs. This campground reminds me of The Peoples Temple and Jim Jones. So I’m gonna pass coming to your Ider Jonestown where you talk down on women and perceive yourself as The Prophet.

  • We went way over the average! We traveled for 11 1/2 years in our rig! The facts of health, stress while driving, maintenance expenses getting higher than the rig's value, costs increasing above our budget, lack of decent campgrounds with out paying an 💪 or a 🦵,… Caused my hubby & I to resettle for our final home (1k sqft home on 1/2 acre with 2 car garage, sun porch & extra shed – and to pay Cash in western Kentucky. No regrets for the years of traveling with an RV & no regrets about settling back down!

  • John you interrupt your wife way too much. Mercedes you are always smart and beautiful.

  • Mostly I think they are quitting RVs because they've come to realize that you cannot put a sail on an RV and they found the error in their ways on their way to their sailboat.

  • Driving a 39’ travel trailer really increases my pucker factor!
I’ve had two wrecks: One where the rear-end swing out hit my fence and tore the back panel off, and another in a storm. Two lanes turning left to an underpass. I was on the inside lane, and the middle of the camper hit the guardrail. An education is expensive!

  • Going on six years of full-time RV dwellers and counting. For sure, not for everyone but for those who dares, it's an open road. "Home is where we park it." Safe travels and "take the less traveled path."
