More photos and prices leak for Olympus PEN E-P7 – official announcement expected this week

More photos of the upcoming Olympus PEN E-P7 have leaked, along with prices. At least, the Japan prices, which start at ¥93,500 (~$855) for the body only, and a kit lens option bundled together with the Olympus M.Zuiko 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 EZ lens for ¥107,800 (~$986). Speaking of lenses, the new Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 8-25mm f/4 Pro is expected to be $1,099.

The images and prices come via 43Rumors, and an official announcement is expected to come on June 9th. Interestingly, Nokishita seems to be slacking on the Olympus leaks, although it seems that OM Digital Solutions isn’t any better at preventing them than any other manufacturer.

Backing up the last round of leaked images of the Olympus PEN E-P7, these images show that the camera will come in with a black or white wrap on the body with the familiar silver top and base. On its own, the body is expected to be priced around ¥93,500 (~$855) with the kit including the Olympus 14-42mm lens to be ¥107,800 (~$986).

An announcement is expected in just two days, and while the Olympus M.Zuiko 8-25mm f/4 Pro lens specs have already leaked, little remains known about the camera. OM Digital has a lot riding on this, with it being their first camera since taking over Olympus. Will they live up to expectations? I guess we’ll find out soon enough!
