MPB opens public vote for Photo and Video Kit Hall of Fame 2021

MPB, the world’s largest online platform for used photography and videography equipment, has announced the nominees for The Photo and Video Kit Hall of Fame 2021. Selected by MPB’s global nominating committee of industry-renowned journalists, photographers and videographers, the 25 nominees represent the most loved and highly regarded pieces of kit of the digital era. MPB now calls on the public to decide which kit will be the best of the best across five categories in this year’s Hall of Fame, and each voter has the chance to win prizes including a Hasselblad 500CM.

Now in its second year, The Photo and Video Kit Hall of Fame honours the most exceptional kit of the creative industry. Last year’s Hall of Fame saw 40,000 votes from kit lovers across 150 countries, with trailblazing models such as Fujifilm X100F, Nikon D810, and Hasselblad 500CM securing a place in the Class of 2020.

To capture the true breadth of photo and video kit, MPB this year commissioned a committee of world-class professionals who selected shortlists in the five categories: Classic, Trendsetter, Iconic, Game Changer and Road Tested. This year’s shortlists show Sony and Nikon to be popular manufacturers with the highest representation among the nominations, taking the crown from Canon in 2020. Fujifilm and Olympus make a strong return to the Trendsetter category, with Sony firmly embedded as a Game Changer.
