FAIRBANKS, ALASKA (24HR DAYLIGHT = NO FIREWORKS)

For even more information & inspiration, check out our website and hop on our email list https://www.keepyourdaydream.com/

We’re officially in Alaska and back to finding local attractions and things to do in Fairbanks
excluding fireworks as it doesn’t get dark enough. With Fourth of July being Tricia’s favorite holiday, it prompted a conversation on where we might be next year and we have some ideas!

Let’s just say there is a large KYD Community there and it DOES get dark enough!

In this episode, we visit KYD Insider couple Mitch & Melody to install our Rock Tamers mud flaps, visit the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System, tour the Fountain Antique Auto Museum (my kind of museum) and rode the Riverboat Discovery.

  • Just dropped back 2 years and you have a tiny boy 👩 😆 and how strange, no masks or distancing and no puppy dog, how things change x

  • Huge missed opportunity not being in glacier bay for the 4th of July. They launch cars off a 300 ft cliff its fantastically entertaining. Look it up on youtube!

  • We just bought our Class A, and our goal is one more year of work and we are heading out. I wasn't going to go to Alaska because of the roads on the way up, but we may have changed our minds!

  • Hey guys my youngest grandson is at ft wainwright Alaska , he is a helicopter mechanic . I watch your videos a lot. Great job

  • We lived in Alaska for 6 years, and one year in Whitehorse, YT with my husbands job. Thanks for the memories! I miss Alaska!

  • đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ»đŸŽ¶đŸ‘đŸ»

  • I hate when someone says there's a link down below to the Rock Tamers and there isn't.

  • Marc, that driving cap, (flat cap) is so you. I like it better than the Uncle Sam hat…and that says a lot. LOL!!

  • We have a family story about my grandfather in the 30’s in taranaki New Zealand. As the area was so windy, farmers grew hawthorn hedges to provide shelter for livestock. On one memorable trip he had 19 punctures between New Plymouth and Wanganui (about a 2 hour trip on today’s roads – who knows what would have been in the 30’s!). He had to patch each puncture by hand by submerging in water to find the puncture and gluing a rubber patch. I imagine two spares would have been an absolute necessity.

  • I know this is an old video but my roommate is from North Pole Alaska and he says they go all out New Year's with fireworks

  • Marc, you are so lucky to be able to wear so many different hats…styles!! You two make such a great couple I so admire that you both have a sense of humour and are so light hearted!!

  • Fairbanks! We used to live there, let me tell you -55 was fun!! Lol

  • I am still binge watching all of the seasons. A tip for you with that tailgate or the next truck's tailgate. Get a Dee Zee tailgate assist for it. You can put it on yourself and it lowers the tailgate nice and slow.

  • To show my age, my oldest brother wanted me and him to go help build the pipeline. We didn't but it is awsome.

  • Thank you for the ‘Bob’ tip – so helpful and a great KYD original!

  • Rock Tamers are awesome. I had a pair that I used while hauling RVs netween Oregon and Washington. The only dislike was that the affecte my fuel economy when I wasn't towing. The had about a 2.5 mpg impact. Seems hard to believe, but I drove the same route 100+ times while hauling RVs, so I knew what my MPG was constantly.

  • I can't help but laugh at the beginning of this episode, it starts right where the previous episode left off…. Caleb missing his shoes!

  • FUN video!! Loved the auto Museum!! How bout we manufacture things that we don't just throw away… amen! 👍👍

  • Wish you guys would've visited my town, Seldovia, across the bay from Homer. We have a really happening Fourth of July 🙂 You could've put your rv on the state ferry, there is a really nice RV park.

  • Love it..again and again. I am close to have watched all of your videos. I have not discovered yet what drone you are using for some above videos? Lol…can you direct me, or do a video of your drone?

  • Where's the fishing video? Dude, you didn't go to Alaska and not go fishing?

  • O.K. So for some reason YouTube didn't inform me of these episodes when you posted them. Lets think up a conspiracy theory of why they kept these from me. I'd periodically thought of you guys but never when I was around a computer. I've missed you! I grew up in Alaska but haven't been back in a few years. Love these episodes! Good job! Thanks.

  • Fabulous video! I live here in NP and my wife and I have been watching your videos. We’re not owners of an RV or travel trailer yet but your videos are a great source of information. Thanks for what you do and I hope you enjoyed your stay in Fairbanks.

  • Alaska is so on our list in a year or two, but after just 6 months of Full time RVing under our belts we have so many other things we still want to do in the lower 48. But just watching your videos makes us want to go now.

  • We went to Alaska every summer for 4 years. And loved it. My husband worked on the Army base and middle school in Fairbanks. We have visited all over Alaska and feel like I'm reliving it all with you😍 You are you going love it and can't wait to see more videos😍
