Create a RV Departure Checklist

Yea, it might sound nerdy, but today’s modern RVs, with all of the power and automation stuff takes awhile to prepare for travel. I have nearly 70 items on my list.

And afterall, you would not travel in an airplane if the pilots did not have a checklist, so consider one for your RV.

A sample checklist can be downloaded from my website at www.rv-project.com/resources/depcheck.pdf

  • This is absolutely a great idea no matter how "corny" people think it is… lol It's funny how unique each person's checklist is though with different campers, eh? It's not a one size fits all for sure…. God bless!!!

  • All doe rv check lists are good I've been rving for 18 years and never used one. Maybe in my older years I may have to make one 🤔

  • I’m all about checklists…we all have so much on our minds it’s impossible to remember everything.

  • We like RV check list so much we have more then one.

Anything that a mouse can eat is removed when we put it away for winter need to be put back in before 1st use.

This list basically restocks anything we may have used up on last trip.
Toilet Chems, paper plates asprin paper towels .ect. also includes clean clothes, food. Also.. unplug RV, steps up, wheel chocks. I even have on my list make sure 4 wheel drive is off ( ask me why that's on the list )

  • Definitely a must have. I have several checklists. And I’m always updating them. I put my checklist in an aviators checklist binder and keep in the truck. I grew up with checklists flying in the US AF. A great habit.
